In the 2015-16 school year TGS has welcomed several new students, both from other schools in Southern Arizona and from international locations all over the world.

After being at TGS for a little more than one semester, many new students are enjoying their lives here and have provided positive feedback about their experiences so far.

Some students who transferred from large public schools immediately fell in love with the small class size.

Junior Akash Sanan, a former student from Catalina Foothills High School, said, “I came from a school of around 2000 students. I really like the one-on-one attention that I’m getting here from the teachers.”

Sophomore Ian Aaronson had the same feeling, saying, “The small environment and teachers’ focus on individuals really serves me well.”

When asked about the rigor of academics, everyone agreed that classes at TGS were “difficult” but “a good challenge.” New students’ opinions varied on the sports program.
