New year, new music to look out for. While many artists have announced that they’re coming out with new albums this year, most of the buzz has been circling around Ed Sheeran.
Last month, the musician came back from a year and a half long break, releasing not one, but two new singles from his upcoming album “Divide,” which have fans excitedly anticipating the rest of the songs, which are said to be available very soon.
“Castle on the Hill” and “Shape of You” are two very different sounding songs, but equally catchy tunes that people have on repeat.
Another popular singer who has spoken about dropping a new album in early 2017 is Drake. “More Life” was originally supposed to be released before the end of 2016 but was pushed back to early 2017.
Not much else has been revealed, except for a few songs that are said to be on the tracklist, and fans are anxiously awaiting the new album, many saying that it will give 2017 the good start that everyone deserves.
Even though he had quite the eventful year in 2016, rapper Kanye West is back, planning to drop another album just a year after releasing his last one, “The Life of Pablo.”
The upcoming album is going to be called “Turbo Grafx 16” after the 1989 video game system, TurboGrafx-16, and is said to have video game titles for all the songs names.
With songs rumored to be called “Resident Evil,” “Silent Hill,” “New Super Mario Bros,” and “Sonic Colors,” this album is truly video game inspired.
Now steering away from rappers, Katy Perry is back in the studio. On her Instagram, she teased her followers by posting some snippets of a new song on her story. It’s been awhile since her last album, and fans are eagerly waiting for the next one, though not a lot has been said about it.
With all these artists releasing albums this year, 2017 looks promising.
